If you are using Sig of Str for symbolic strike, don't worry about it. With only 2 signets, SS is roughly equivalent to the other ade-based attacks and you'd still have the res and healing signets to use.

Yeah I just realized that, so I'll switch out the Sig of Strength for that other skill.

If I'm interpreting this correctly then you'd be getting your armor levels wrong still.

You have a base armor of 80AL, + another 16AL from your shield, both of which reduce both physical and elemental damage. You've got a further +20AL vs. physical on your armor. That means you'll have 116AL vs. physical and 96AL vs. elemental before insignia come into account.

PS: If you meet the requirement for sentinels (the +20AL req. 13str), then it makes Dreadnought inferior because it gives twice the AL and effects physical damage aswell.

[[Symbolic Strike] is bad, because you have to load your bar with crap to make it good. Better to put in good attack skills, and free up those signet slots for utility. I'd slot [[Standing Slash] for Symbolic, for example.

edit: Read the thread, and nearly everyone has recommended [[Standing Slash] already. My bad.

Symbolic Strike has always been a pet skill of mine, while I do agree it's not viable for general use I do have to say that it is simply smashing on a utility war hero
